Can you really trust your own employees to be skilled and trustworthy enough to handle security? Yes and no, responds Jesper Kråkhede. The best way to get a good security organization is to outsource all or parts of it. So by outsourcing to the cloud, does that increase your security? Yes, in some aspects because both confidentiality and availability will be higher but you need to be prepared to switch to another provider.

The more you move to the cloud, the more you will depend on your ISP and when you start to ask to many detailled questions, are you still buying a service? Whenever you outsource you need to make sure that you don't only outsource security but that you also outsource securely.
